A civil wedding requires the spouses to understand the registrar. If one of them does not speak French, a sworn interpreter is required.

Why a sworn interpreter?

The town hall must ensure free and informed consent. An expert interpreter registered with a court of appeal guarantees a faithful, impartial rendering of the exchanges.

How to organise it?

Notify the town hall in advance and book the interpreter for the ceremony date. We work in Arabic, Russian, English and French across the French Riviera.
